Site Description for Hoseasons Sandybrook Country Park - Sandybrook Country Park is part of our Go Active Breaks Collection and is close to the picturesque market town of Ashbourne on the southern fringe of the Peak District. The park is located in the former grounds of a 19th Century manor house with a historic pinetum and bluebell wood.
Onsite the whole family can enjoy a range of activities have a relaxing swim or enjoy a meal in the Coach House bar and restaurant. Sandybrook Country Park provides the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding area which boasts many stunning walks and cycling trails. There are many local attractions including Alton Towers the world famous Chatsworth House and numerous family friendly activities.

The park is situated in a very good location to explore the surrounding areas - Matlock, Matlock Bath, Derby, Ashbourne, Buxton and Bakewell, which are all within a reasonable radius.

Sandybrook Country Park was superb, clean and well furnished, to the point it felt more like a hotel grade accommodation than a holiday park. The whole park was in a beautiful area, within easy access of the Peak District and the staff were helpful. We will be booking to go back again next year!

The lodge and park surpassed our expectations - the restaurant, pool and park area were ideal for us and our two young children. The lodge itself was clean, modern and spacious, with plenty of green space around us.

From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed. The accommodation was excellent and we all loved the swimming pool and used it everyday. The staff were great, nothing was too much.

Great, high quality accomnodation for families. So much to do in the nearby coutryside from theme parks to steam railways. I would advise that a car is needed to get the most out of the holiday though. Great for a long weekend or a week but there is easily enough to occupy a fortnight. Ideally located for attractions for all ages, from Alton Towers to Thomas The Tank Land at Drayton Manor. Also good to know that there are 3 major supermarkets in Ashbourne (1 mile from holiday park) so it is easy to cater for yourself.

I would like to recomend sandybrook country park,my husdand and I lead busiy stressfull lives working long hours,our break was lovely quiet and peacefull,we just chilled out went swimming in the pool and walked in the woodland.We will be returning in the near future.

Beautiful log cabins/lodges in a lovely surounding, immaculate and a credit to the site managers. I have travelled all over Great Britain and this is one of the finest self catering accommodations that we have stayed in.

The park is small and peaceful and we spent several evenings in the coach house where we all enjoyed the food. The site was an excellent base for visiting attractions in Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

The lodge was very impressive and in a superb location for the adults and the children. We all made use of the pool and the sauna and we also loved the Tissington Trail which was very close by.

I would recommend the accommodation and location for Alton Towers, also within walking distance of Ashbourne (approx 20-30 mins) which was a very nice place to visit.
