Villa Accomodation Details:
6km from the coast close to Arvert, - a small town with supermarkets and several family restaurants. Excellent choice of beautiful sandy beaches within biking distance with the Cote Sauvage a particular favorite accessible through the pine forests with huge Atlantic rollers providing thrilling surfing. Bike hire in Les Mathes 3km. Safer beaches at la Palmyre 10 min drive and Ronce Les Bains 10min. Palmyre also boasts Europe' - ' - s biggest zoo. More shops and reknowned seafood restaurants with famous Marennes oysters and Mussels in la Tremblade 5 min drive also with pavement cafes and daily markets. Resort of Royan just 20 min by car with beaches, - choice of water sports, - championship golf course, - boutiques, - good restaurants, - casino and ferry to the Mé - doc area across the Gironde. Perfect for forest walks and riding with stables at Royan Golf Club and la Fouasse 3 min drive. International airports: La Rochelle 75 km/Bordeaux 125 km.
This charming C19th Charentaise farmhouse is in a rural setting surrounded by farmlands and forests. It is set on its own just 2mins from the village by car. Fully-enclosed garden with lawns, - shrubs and trees. Pool 11 x 5 x 0.2-2m depth with rigid security cover and roman steps is heated, - ensuring comfortable temperatures for swimming. Covered summerhouse for dining al fresco, - large sunny terrace for relaxing around the pool. BBQ.
Built in local stone this is a large open plan house which has been recently sympathetically restored retaining original features. Sitting room has cathedral beamed ceiling, - comfortable sofas and armchairs, - stone fireplace, - French doors to terrace. Archway to &lsquo - farmhouse&rsquo - kitchen with dishwasher, - microwave, - table and chairs, - open fire, - door to terrace. Bath/WC. Laundry room with washing machine, - extra fridge. From sitting room open-tread stairs (rope hand rail) to 1st floor mezzanine and 4 bedrooms. Spacious Bed 1: king-size, - polished wooden floor and rugs with ensuite shower room/WC. Bed 2: double. Shower room with WC.2 attic rooms Beds 3 and 4: children' - ' - s rooms under the eaves with limited headroom in some parts, - both carpeted, - each with 2 singles (suitable for children under 14 yrs old only) and limited hanging space. Some low windows upstairs.
No linen available. Min 2 week lets preferred.5th bedroom may be available on request with ensuite facilities and full wheel chair access. (not specifically equipped for those with disabilities) Recommended as an excellent property.
