Five min drive to charming Provenç - al village of Goudargues, - with shops, - restaurants, - tennis and local market.15 min walk to the lovely River Cè - ze for swimming, - canoeing and fishing. Bagnols-sur-Cè - ze 15 km for wider choice of shops, - supermarkets and bike hire. Many good restaurants and Cô - tes-du-Rhô - ne wine cellars all within 15 min drive. Conveniently situated for fast and easy access to main attractions of Provence - renowned Music Festival of Orange (July/August), - theatre festival in Avignon (July), - Antique Fair of Barjac (Easter and 15 August), - all under an hour by car. Sandy beaches and great seafood restaurants in le Grau-du-Roi and Saintes Maries-de-la-Mer within a 1_ hour drive. International airports: Nî - mes 87 km/Montpellier 124 km/Marseilles 142 km. Avignon 50 km for direct TGV service from London during summer months.
This elegant and beautifully furnished bastide, - built in typical Provenç - al style, - occupies 2 acres of a hillside hamlet and has terraced and unfenced Mediterranean gardens with some steep drops. Gardens are filled with olive trees, - cypress, - oak, - lavender, - oleander, - rosemary and thyme and can be fully lit up at night. Magnificent views over vineyards and gently rolling hills from both house and garden. Set above the house, - access via a terraced path, - is the superb pool 20 x 7 x 3m depth, - equipped with a security sonar alarm. Courtyard with stone fountain, - surrounded by flowers and a covered terrace, - perfect for dining al fresco. BBQ. Adjoined to garages, - newly-constructed gym exceptionally well-equipped with aerobic exercise machines, - weight benches and many other devices, - giving no excuse to go home weighing more than when you arrived!
Light and airy interior, - decorated with a tasteful mix of modern and antique Provenç - al furniture with floor tiles throughout. All rooms open onto garden and courtyard with french doors. Superb large, - sunny living room with comfortable sofas, - armchairs, - carved stone fireplace, - bookcases, - satellite TV/video/DVD, - hi-fi. Huge, - fully-equipped kitchen with dining table, - dishwasher, - microwave, - wall-to-wall stone fireplace. Pantry with washing machine, - drier, - freezer. Six very spacious bedrooms all with ensuite bath/shower/WC. Ground floor, - Bed 1: king-size. Bed 2: 2 singles. Bed 3: 2 singles. Sep WC. Wide stone staircase from living room leads to master Bed 4 on second floor (50sq m with 4 french windows): super king-size. Beds 5 and 6 accessed via outside staircase and covered walkway, - not to be used by unsupervised small children. Bed 5: 2 singles. Bed 6: king-size. Cot, - maid service once a week and cook on request.
