Pretty Azay-le-Rideau approx 10 min walk/3 min drive for shops, - good choice of restaurants, - tennis, - pool, - canoeing on the river, - and beautiful châ - teau.15 min drive to lake with sailing school at Joué - -les-Tours. Famous ' - ' - Sleeping Beauty' - ' - ' - ' - châ - teau at Ussé - and amazing terraced gardens of Villandry are both 15 min drive. Stroll in the medieval streets of Tours with its range of shops, - or enjoy a relaxing short river cruise on the Loire 35 min drive. Within one hour drive of other famous Loire châ - teaux, - such as Chenonceaux and Amboise. International airports: Tours 32 km/Poitiers 90 km.
Situated on the outskirts of this small town, - the house has been built into the hillside at the roadside, - and is attached on one side to the home of an elderly French neighbour. Enclosed gravel courtyard on lower garden level, - parking for 3 cars. On higher garden level with access via fairly steep steps (gate at top) is pool 8 x 4 x 1.2m overall depth, - surrounded by high walls on two sides and with security fencing on other sides, - providing a real sun-trap for sunbathing and relaxing at the pool-side. BBQ.
Attractively renovated house retaining lots of exposed beams and with modern furnishings. Sitting room with open fire, - sofa and armchairs, - TV with French channels and English news channels, - video/DVD (will play English videos) and CD player. Kitchen/dining room with fitted units, - dishwasher and washing machine, - microwave, - pine farmhouse table, - door to courtyard. Hall with sep WC.
