Villa Accomodation Details:
Peaceful farmhouse setting, - only 4 km from the busy little town of Descartes for shops, - restaurants, - supermarkets, - Sunday market, - tennis, - bike hire, - canoeing on the river Creuse and outdoor riverside pool with chutes. Excellent choice of shops only 50 min drive in the sophisticated town of Tours, - ' - ' - petit Paris' - ' - to the locals. Beautiful châ - teaux to visit within an hour' - ' - s drive include Loches, - Chenonceau, - Azay and Chinon, - ideal areas for biking and walking in the nearby Forê - t de la Guerche. Intrnational airports: Poitiers 60 km/Tours 60 km.
This charming converted farmhouse is set in a quiet hamlet of six houses, - with views over open countryside. Gravel courtyard at front surrounded by high stone wall, - with trees, - shrubs and flowers, - fruit and vegetable garden for guests' - ' - enjoyment, - open terrace, - covered terrace with large wooden dining table under pergola (balcony above), - and parking area. Well-kept hedged garden, - including croquet area and large grass area for children, - with BBQ, - pool 8 x 4 x 1-1.7m depth with security cover, - poolside terrace.
The house is divided in three parts and is ideal for 2 families holidaying together. Ground floor for up to 6 people, - first floor for up to 4 additional people at extra cost in low seasons and cottage for a further 2 people. Ground floor may be let alone in low seasons or with first floor payable at maximum occupancy rate. This property is well suited to two families sharing, - or families with grandparents or teenagers looking for independent accommodation. Cool interior with mix of period and modern furniture, - mainly white walls, - tiled floors and rugs. Large sitting room with sofas, - wood-burner, - TV French and some English channels)/video/DVD, - arched french doors to terrace. Curtained doorway to fully equipped farmhouse kitchen with dining table, - chairs, - microwave, - washing machine and dishwasher. Bath/WC and sep shower/WC. Six steps up to bedrooms. Sep small cottage across courtyard available on request at extra cost of £ - 125 per week with small sitting room, - wood-burner, - kitchen leading to shower/WC. Steep open-tread stairs to mezzanine with double bed overlooking sitting room. Min 2 weeks let in July and August. Heating available at extra cost.
