Please note this property sleeps a maximum of 6 adults, - 2 children and an infant.
Five min drive to neighbouring village Montagnac with boulangerie for the morning bread and croissants. Medieval bastide town of Monflanquin 16 min drive has a selection of shops, - tennis, - colourful market and celebrates its local culture with special Medieval Days in mid-August and a Prune Fair in September. Fumel for more shops and restaurants 10 min drive. Horse-riding and huge market at Monsempron-Libos, - 15 min drive. Beautiful Monpazier with its relics of the Hundred Years War, - 25 min drive, - or just 45 min drive to the Dordogne river for canoeing or swimming. International golf course at Castelnaud-de-Gratecambe 20 min drive. International airport Bergerac 55 km.
Set in countryside, - this beautiful and tastefully restored barn has retained many original features, - including an original stone well in the bathroom! Large grassed garden, - ideal for children playing football, - badminton etc. with lovely views over the countryside. Solar heated, - saline pool, - 9 x 4 x 1-2m depth with security immersion alarm and roman steps, - has a large attractive covered terrace with poolside shower, - WC and underwater lighting for night-time dips. Built-in BBQ area and outside fridge for cool drinks for al fresco dining in perfect tranquillity.
Large open-plan living/dining room with two sofas, - beamed ceiling, - large oak table and chairs, - feature limestone fireplace that is over 200 years old, - french doors to garden. Fully-fitted kitchen area with dishwasher, - washing machine, - fridge/freezer and microwave, - separated from the living area by a worktop and units. Stairs to mezzanine, - (very low ceiling and beams) Bed 1: double and double futon. From sitting area, - corridor to Bed 2: 2 singles. Bed 3: bunk beds, - can be separated to make 2 singles. Shower/WC. Small step from kitchen to bath/shower/WC with its impressive well (securely sealed for safety). Cot and highchair on request.
