Villa Accomodation Details:
Shops, - restaurants, - riding and tennis in St James, - 5 min drive. Wide sandy beaches of Jullouville and Carolles 35 min drive. Beautiful and challenging golf course overlooking the sea at Granville 45 min drive. Bike hire in Avranches 10 min drive. Visit the world famous Mont St. Michel, - 20 min drive, - or for the more adventurous, - either follow a guided walk across the shifting sands of the huge bay or pony trek along the foreshore. The interesting and lively coastal towns of St. Malo and Dinard with their lovely sandy beaches and rugged coastline - the winding streets of medieval Dinan at the head of the beautiful River Rance estuary (boat trips available) and the impressive border castles (to keep the French out!) of Fougeres and Vitre are all within 1 hour drive. International airport: Dinard 65 km.
The owners will be waiting to welcome you to this fairy tale cottage built in 1763 as a bakery and set in a large private garden within the extensive and tranquil parklands of a chateau (not visible from the cottage). Sheltered gravel terrace with stone-built BBQ. Shared fenced heated swimming pool 10 x 5 x 1.2-1.8m depth is available for clients 09:00-19:00.
Carefully and tastefully renovated, - furnished and decorated to give a lovely period feel with the warm terracotta tiles, - exposed stone wall and heavy oak beams. Windows on all four sides enhance the feeling of spaciousness. Doorway into the single large ground floor room, - kitchen corner with microwave and washing machine, - attractive wooden table with benches, - large stone fireplace, - TV (French), - comfortable sofa and armchair, - french windows to garden. Stairs to Bed 1: double. Bed 2: 2 singles. Shower room with power shower/WC. Polished wooden floors throughout. Cot, - highchair and babygate, - all on request. Please note that Electricity is not included, - you will be asked to pay electricity per unit used in euros before departure. The rate is &euro - 0.13 per unit. Heating included.
