Villa Accomodation Details:
Medieval fortified village of Cordes with its breathtaking views, - 4 km for restaurants and shops, - bike hire and an ideal walking centre with lots of well-marked paths.15 min drive from Albi, - the lovely old town of art and culture, - with its beautiful cathedral, - bridge, - and fascinating Toulouse Lautrec museum. Children will enjoy the watersports centres with sandy beach nearby at Souel and Castelnau de Montmiral. Canoeing at St-Antonin-Noble-Val 30 km. The vineyards at Gaillac 15 min drive, - and many nearby bastide villages are well worth visiting. International airport: Toulouse 88 km.
Spacious and beautifully restored stone ' - ' - Maison de Maî - tre' - ' - with beamed ceilings, - set on the edge of a hamlet amidst farmland, - vineyards and working farms. Lovely security fenced and walled pool 12 x 6 x 1-3m depth surrounded by large tiled terrace and flower bed, - stunning views over open countryside - raised terrace overlooking the pool. At the rear of the property is a gravel courtyard and another restored building, - let on a permanent basis and with separate access, - together with an as yet unrestored stable block (no client access). BBQ. Some unprotected steps behind the house.
House tastefully furnished throughout. Two sitting rooms, - the first with large sofa and armchair, - inglenook fireplace, - hi-fi, - original stone walls, - and french windows leading out to gravelled courtyard. Second sitting room is open-plan with dining area, - and has 2 sofas, - 4 armchairs, - stone walls, - wooden beams, - satellite TV (BBC and ITV and French channels), - and large double french windows to gravelled courtyard. Fitted kitchen with feature old stone sink as well as modern one, - dishwasher and microwave. Large study/library with comfortable seating, - good selection of books, - fireplace. Sep WC. Washing machine and extra fridge in cellar. Wooden stairs to spacious 1st floor landing, - Bed 1: king-size, - with magnificent new ensuite shower/WC and dressing area. Bed 2: double, - ensuite shower room. Bed 3: 2 singles. Bathroom with bath and modern shower. Sep WC. 2nd floor: Bed 4: double futon bed. Bed 5: two singles. Bathroom with WC. One room closed off to clients. Folding single bed also available (could go in study).
Cot and highchair on request. Central heating £ - 50 per week payable locally. Anyday start, - 7 night min stay excluding July & - August when Saturday changeover.
Linen: Included with towels. Phone System: Standard.
