For a touch of glamour visit Deauville, - 18km, - with its boutiques and regular horse racing calendar or the picturesque fishing town of Honfleur 34 km or Bayeux 60km with its world renowned tapestry depicting the famous battle of William the Conqueror. Cabourg is ideally placed to visit the Normandy D-Day landing beaches which stretch from the ferry port of Caen- Ouistreham to the artificial harbour of Arromanches built by the Allies on D-Day. The Caen memorial is also worth a trip for those interested in the D-Day landings.
